Safety and Health Program

It is the policy of Ayuda Management Corporation to protect its employees and subcontractors for occupational injuries by implementing and enforcing safe work practices. It is Ayuda’s belief that our people are our most important asset and that the preservation of employee and subcontractor safety and health has management’s highest priority, support and participation.

Ayuda’s policy is to provide a safe working environment for all employees and subcontractors in accordance with all relevant legislation and industry standards. The foundation of our Health and Safety program is the elimination and control of any and all hazards that may result in injury, sickness, or property damage.

Ayuda Management Corporation has developed and implemented a written Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP). The goal of the IIPP is to identify and evaluate unsafe work conditions and practices so that accidents, injuries and job related illnesses are eliminated.

It is the policy of Ayuda to encourage all employees to report hazards and unsafe working conditions existing at their worksite to the superintendent, safety supervisor and management, so that a corrective action can be taken in a timely manner. All Ayuda employees and subcontractors have stop work authority if unsafe conditions are observed.

Ayuda has hired a an industry health and safety expert, Mr. John Schmidt to perform mandatory monthly health and safety training for all Ayuda employees. Subcontractors are encouraged to attend. In addition, Mr. Schmidt performs random site inspections which include observations and recommendations to promote a safer work environment. Ayuda personnel also conduct regular safety inspections to ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations. Ayuda superintendents conduct mandatory daily tailgate safety meetings, where full crew participation, including subcontractors, is encouraged.

The work performed by Ayuda personnel is varied both in nature and location. Under all circumstances, it is the intent of Ayuda to comply with the requirements and spirit of Federal Regulations 1910 and 1928 and EM 385-1-1.
